The phone rings. I pick up the black cordless handset sitting next to me. I look at the LCD panel that displays the Caller ID information. It says Sponsor Reps. I think a moment about how I should answer the call or even if I should answer the call. I know it's a sales rep for some organization trying to get me to give them much needed money. I decide to answer:
Hello
Hello, this is Mark from the Firefighter's Association of Pierce County.
Hi Mark. My name is Heather
Hello, Heather. Are you the woman in charge of the house hold?

"I don't want firefighter to die." I say as I begin to start a tremble in my voice.
Ma'am, I don't want firefighters to die either.
"No, firefighters die. Please, don't let firefighters die. No, die firefighters." My words now accompanied with full crying.
Ma'am with your support we can help keep firefighters safe.
How does money help keep firefighters from dying?
Well, it helps pay for better training, better laws, and more fire enforcement.

Cool Picture... Cool Story. I have had similar encounters. Coincidently, I am in the process of developing a website for Chris Ward, a country artist who is scheduled to perform at that same show.
