I have had Nufonia Must Fall on my wishlist for the last year. Everywhere I went this robot would stare back at me from the cover. There was something about the book that I found fascinating, but it was always shrinkwrapped. I find it hard to buy a graphic novel that it shrink wrapped unless I know the artists artwork. I should have know by the cover that I would enjoy this book, but I never spent the $16 bucks to see if the book was worth it.
Until today....
I happen to find it nestled within one of my favorite library sections. I was excited when I saw it sitting there. I picked it up, and walked to the check out where I had another item on hold. I couldn't wait to get home, flip through the book, and listen to the soundtrack. I popped the CD into the computer, put on my headphones, waiting for some sound to enter my brain as I flipped through the book.
My ears were not greeted to plesants sounds as I had expected, but to a sharp whinning noise that I immediately recognized to be a disc error. I opened the drive, and found the that the CD had been cracked halfway through.
Now, I'm a bit disappointed. I looked through the book, but I somehow feel that I have missed out on some of the experience the author intended.
