Photo Friday: King County Works Industry -- always bumps in the road.
I watched Life + Debt last night. The movie is about how globilization and the first world effect smaller countries. The IMF and the World Bank essentially create slave states out of the smaller countries. I suppose I could rant about this issue for awhile, but I won't.
See the film if you get a chance...
I admit sometimes I put blinders on because I know that I can do nothing to prevent these types of things from happening. One voice does nothing, a voice among many still does nothing. Sometimes it's disheartening to learn that almost every product for sale in this country has been made at the expense of someone else.
Not all mind you, but most.
I know what you mean, and it is disheartening. Still, I do hold on to the belief that each of us can make a difference. Perhaps such thinking is fantasy, but the alternative is too grim.

I never imagined you could capture one of these beasts and make it look beautiful, but you have. (We have these everywhere in Redmond too).

I know what you mean. There's so many things I want to fight, and I don't have enough time or energy to fight them all. I just do my best to use alternatives when I can, and spread the word.. if enough people know and act, however slowly, change will happen.
